Upcycled surf resin scraps transformed into jewelry! This one is a re-issue of a design we made some years ago. Enough of you kept asking for it so we finally decided to bring her back!
Betty Pro Tip: Don't be afraid to stack this one with your slim stacking rings for a really cool statement ring vibe.
Her comeback includes a name, the Mads, named after our lovely Maddie Huot, one of our own here at Betty HQ in Ventura.
Back around 2008, we developed a highly innovative way to capture and repurpose excess resin left over from the surfboard-building process. We turned it it into very wearable, very durable jewelry instead of sending it to a landfill. It's not easy, but it is SO worth it! The story: Each color stripe is from a surfboard made here in California. The boards are out there, riding waves, and each piece is connected to that. How cool is that?
This ring style is made from the scraps of the first round of jewelry made. Bezel set in our cabochon surfboard setting by hand in our Bali studio.
